A Life in Classical Theatre: Resident Artists from A Noise Within Theatre

Two resident artists from the classical repertory theatre company, A Noise Within (ANW), Stephen Rockwell and Rafael Goldstein (a LACHSA alum) speak to the theatre department about the power of repertory training and the future of classical theatre.

Kevin Kuhlke, master teacher of acting and directing from NYU's Tisch School, is presenting a master class for Theatre 4th Years on Tuesday, October 14 from 1:30-4 pm in the Loft...

Brian Dennehy, renowned actor of stage, film and television performed a benefit for our arts programs. He was joined in scenes by our own faculty, Jeremy Guskin and Chris Fairbanks. 

Kevin Kulke, Director of Acting at NYU's Tisch School, taught a master class to our 4th Years on October 25. The class was amazing and the students are excited about applying to this prestigious program.

Sarah Brown, LACHSA Theatre alum and 3 time Emmy Award winner for her performances on "General Hospital," will give a master class to our 3rd Years on October 8.

Kim Coates, star of the television series, "Sons of Anarchy," and the youngest person to play McB at Stratford, Ontario directed by John Neville, gave a master class to our 1st and 2nd Years on October 8.
Renowned actors Felicity Huffman and Bill Macy presented an acting workshop to the Theatre Department in March.
Playwright and Theatre Department grad, Josefina Lopez, spoke to our cast of her two plays, Detained in the Desert and Food for the Dead to run in our new black box, Caroline Loft, on April 5 & 6.

Esteemed playwright and Chicano writer, Luis Alfaro, taught a Master class to the 3rd and 4th years on April 4 in the classroom studio of  LACHSA's new building.
