Director's Notes

Greetings First Year Parents,

We’re enjoying working with your talented daughters and sons! All actors are doing a good job and our rehearsals are progressing nicely. I'm looking forward to this final month of work as we get ready for the festival.  Please remind your kids that the final memorization deadline is Friday,  September 29.

Since we only meet once a week,  we have encouraged actors to rehearse outside of class on their own.  If possible, please help facilitate additional rehearsals on weekends or after school.  We may also schedule several after school rehearsals, budget permitting. We will email parents individually to request those sessions.

Please see the information below and feel free to contact Susie at if you have questions.

Thanks for your support,

Susie and Brit

Rehearsal and day-of festival jobs will include:

Contributions of healthy snacks for the Nov 4 rehearsal (crucial----they kids get REALLY hungry!) contributions of lunch items on festival  day (crucial----they kids get REALLY, REALLY hungry!) parents to help serve and clean up the Nov 4 rehearsal dinner, a parent to transport the easy up LACHSA canopy to the festival (can fit in an SUV-type car), parents to transport kids to and from the festival, parents to chaperone on the day of the festival.

We are hoping for 100% parent participation.  The link for volunteering will be live soon and will be flashing in the upper right hand corner of the page.

Blacks, unless you are asked to wear a "semblance" of a costume.
No shorts, jeans or revealing clothing. Must wear shoes, no flip-flops. Hair out of face. NO jewelry, with the exception of small stud earrings may be worn. No nail polish.
